CUSTOM PLASTIC PACKAGING DESIGN

Our engineering team works with you to produce innovative solutions to your custom plastic packaging or display requirements. We design a 3D model (SolidWorks) of the proposed package using either your supplied product or supplied 3D model of the product. We then are able to produce 3D renderings that effectively illustrate that custom design. We concentrate on functional and efficient custom plastic packaging designs that protect your product while also offering an aesthetically pleasing look that is sure to make your product stand out.

ENGRAVING FOR CUSTOM PLASTIC PACKAGING

Engraving is often the difference between custom and universal packaging products. Engraving for your clamshell thermoformed plastic package is simply the “icing on the cake”. Having your logo on your product package tells your customer that you are proud of your product and your company. It’s that added touch that provides repeated brand recognition that helps your product stand out from the competition.

RENDERINGS FOR CUSTOM PLASTIC PACKAGING

To aid in communication of a vision, packaging renders are often the go-to solution. We provide a 3d PDF to our clients to assist in the visualization process. In addition we can provide a rendering of their products in our designs. Clients often use package renderings to help sell the packaging concept to their target audience.

TOOLING FOR CUSTOM PLASTIC PACKAGING

We build production tooling according to your needs, based on the volume of parts and the requirements of your product. After you have inspected and approved the prototype sample, a high quality production tool is built to support your packaging needs. The tooling will include steel ruled trim dies and when necessary plug assists. If at any point your tooling requires maintenance, we take care of it at our expense. You own your tooling, we simply house it and maintain it for you under strict non-disclosure guidelines.

DESIGNING PACKAGING FOR PROTOTYPES

Along with our low volume and high volume run production services, we also offer design services for prototyping packaging. Packaging prototyping allows you to bridge the gap between idea and concept. It also enables you to proof out concepts prior to making a full commitment to a permanent production tool. It allows you to check form, fit and function prior to going into a production run. Once the concept is proofed out, our design team can easily transition from prototype packaging into full volume production run tooling. If you are looking only for packaging prototype services, we are able to accommodate that as well.

SECONDARY SERVICES FOR PLASTIC PACKAGING

1. Client Supplied Label Application
Along with our custom packaging services, we offer application of your supplied labels to point of purchase displays. Once a point of purchase display size has been determined, our team can give you a label size that would work best for the design so that you can have your labels produced and we can then apply the label to the front of each display during production.

‍2. Assembly
If you are starting out with low volumes to put in mom and pop type stores or small boutiques where heat sealing is not required, we offer snap fit assembly of your insert card and product into your custom clamshells.

‍3. Blister Cards and Insert Card
Once a blister pack or clamshell size has been determined, with your supplied artwork files we can also price your blister card and insert card requirements.

VACUUM & PRESSURE FORMING SERVICES

We offer vacuum forming as well as pressure forming services at our facilities. Vacuum forming is ideal for prototyping and lower volume production runs and is very economical. Plastic pressure forming is ideal for features that cannot be obtained in vacuum forming. It is also great for highly detailed parts, textured finishes, achieving undercuts, and more sophisticated process controls. Plastic pressure forming is also ideal for larger parts.

PORTABLE LAMINAR HOOD PROCESS FOR LOW MINIMUM PLASTIC PACKAGING

At Plastiform, Inc. for your low volume needs, we offer manufacturing your small medical packaging needs or other dust sensitive items in our ISO class 5 portable clean room hood. This allows the dust sensitive items to be produced and then poly bagged in a dust controlled environment.
